    About Watershed Nature Center


    Nestled in the neighborhoods near downtown Edwardsville, Illinois, this 40+ acre passive park encompasses wetlands, woodlands, and grasslands; offering visitors a unique ecological experience that is not only easily accessible, but close to home!

    Users of the regional trail system can access the Watershed Nature Center via the MCT Watershed Trail. visitors to the site are welcomed by a one-mile trail that loops around the perimeter of the water. Take a detour off the paved portion of the trail to experience the Marsh Walk or head over to the Conservation Tower for some sightseeing or photography. The facility also hosts numerous learning and volunteer opportunities throughout the year.
